[ WELL that sure is a reading it didn't expect to see. In fairness, it didn't expect to see much again. In all honesty, it has no idea how it's operational again in this platform; the Geth inside it had decided to give themselves up, after all, so that their upgrades could benefit the majority...

Perhaps this proved true Creator Zorah's words. Perhaps they do have a soul, and that is why they're here? Who knows. ]

Vakarian Garrus. Your presence was not anticipated. The last memory of this platform was its immediate abandonment in order to transfer our new upgrades to all Geth. We are unable to discern when or how reactivation was achieved.

[ It's going to move over to the monitors and camera, though, and see what it can do with them... ]

Readings indicate malfunctions on all life support monitoring systems. There is potential for failure of ventilation, camera, and audio systems. The air here is unsafe for organics. Ventilation would be priority. ... There is also a chance of the machinery catching fire. Further caution around electronic equipment would be advisable. Current systems are operable, merely unsteady.

As long as everyone rations how much they eat of this food, it shouldn't be a problem.

... Magic is improbable. It is not impossible for a building to maintain a structure that appears different inside if proper materials are used. It is, however, difficult to build this high without it being visible on the surface. If sensor readings are not malfunctioning, then we are well above the ground.

[ The Geth continues to poke around the systems, but it's proving pretty difficult, and fruitless. ]

There is likely another, unseen explanation. This machinery, however, offers no knowledge; it is merely a life support and monitoring system. It appears to also be capable of emitting audio cues on locations where cameras are stationed.

... One camera appears to be inoperable.

They're still a machine, so of course Legion's going to try to explain away emotional responses. Either way, they're all right for now, but they kind of agree on the gun front.

"It is unlikely low-level weaponry, even in numbers, would be able to penetrate or destroy the machines in this facility. It is likely that only heavy weaponry would be effective. Plasma or pulse arms would be more effective. Guns do not appear to be allowed into this facility. We were armed upon arrival, but have lost our armaments since."

Basically it thinks they need at least rocket launchers, or it needs its proper Geth weapons, whichever works.

"We have seen signs indicating "the rules" of this attraction. Weapons are not permitted due to potential danger to smaller organic life. What you refer to as 'children'. We have not, however, seen any here."

Likewise. That's the last we all saw of you as well.

[Nor was Legion the first casualty. Or the last. But it isn't the time to mourn. Or the place. Not anymore.

He quickly clears his throat and walks to the monitors. And...wow. There's primitive, there's primitive and then...there's wherever the hell they are now. No wonder everything's malfunctioning and at risk for catching aflame.

Or maybe it is hell, or at least some very messed-up afterlife, and he spontaneously died upon walking through that door from some as-yet-unknown cause. He isn't particularly religious, but it could explain what Legion's doing here.]

In any case, is there any way to identify what's in the air composition and its level of toxicity?

... Then this should not have occurred. We do not have answers as to what is occurring here, but are hoping to locate them. Secondary objectives, if possible, include attempting to interface with the Artificial Intelligence here. We suspect there to be severe malfunctions present, due to the state of this console.

[ ... Hm. What's in the air, exactly...? ]

... We... I... am not entirely certain what is in the air. Speculation would be pointless; this particular toxin is not in our data banks. But it seems to be similar to Earth's "mold". If ventilation is kept within operating capacity, however, we suspect the chances of inhalation danger will be minimal.

[ Flipping through the cameras now, and... ]

... We are also not alone.

PARTS AND SERVICE

[ Kang finds this entire situation VERY fascinating, if dangerous, but what's science without some danger? Putting a few meatshields between him and the animatronics, of course, helps, but he really wanted to open those puppies up.

Since he can't, though, he found himself in parts and service on one of the floors, generally poking around at the empty heads and such while someone (or several someones) was stuck waiting WITH him and outside the room to make sure they didn't get ambushed. He's talking in high-speed whispers. ]

Ah, fascinating! Simple metal, yet so many complex gears and pieces... electricity and circuitry is being used to power them. A bit like the Jade Golems, yes, yes, not as good and destructive, not as slow, either, the runny zippy one with the hook especially, surprised by HIS speed... VERY fascinating servos...

I bet we could build a new one if we had an endoskeleton. Probably just as dangerous, though; equipment seems to be slightly tainted by just a...

[ And he sniffs, here. ]

... Light, fragrant hint of dead corpses. Gets the job done if you want killing, though. But it's not very clean, or efficient... QUITE unspectacular, too. Made these for kids, what were they thinking? Why the very idea--like if the Empire gave out tinier Jade Golems to every kid and said, "Here, play with this doll, it definitely won't mutilate you or explode if you break it!" ... Almost wish they would explode. Would be quite a specatular end; metal everywhere!

[She keeps running even as she thinks. They've made a left since then, so... The stairs are probably not too far. If they can find some vents, they can cut through them, provided they move quietly - the banging is good for knowing when an animatronic is coming, but also pretty good for telling them where you are.]

Alright. Deep breaths, okay? I think I know where the stairs we took to this floor are. [They just have to keep moving and quietly. The Mangle's buzzing is getting quieter behind them. If they keep up this pace, they should be able to lose it.]

[The robot has interested Ken - he hasn't expressed it, but it's almost universal for boys his age to think robots are cool. Featherman only helped this perception. ...It's still not the time or place to be thinking about that, though.]

They're not as agile as we are. Stairs have to be a lot more of an obstacle. The one that hangs from the ceiling is still a problem, but it might not be able to reach us if we're on the landing.

We can brace the door, too. [They can easily grab a chair or two from the next room, build a makeshift lock. They'd just have to remember to move it when they leave so the security guard can escape, too.

He eyes Legion.] ...I guess you don't need to rest, do you?

[ It isn't uncommon for people to find Legion interesting, but it's usually because they know it's a Geth unit. Because where they're from, most humans find VI or robots normal, after all. ]

Bracing the door would only serve to delay them by a small margin. A chair would be ineffective and easily broken past. We will remain beside it.

[ ... Kind of a silly question if a machine has to rest, but... they suppose they do look sort of organic? Not by much, but the extremities are distinctly Quarian in resemblance, so... ]

We do not require "rest" in order to remain active, or at optimal operating levels. We can, however, shut down background processes to prevent damage to this platform if necessary. Given so many are already nonfunctional due to the interference here, however, this is presently not required.

It appeared to be perhaps two storeys when we entered. Yet, there are many more storeys, and far too many rooms. Mere architecture cannot accomplish this.

[He frowns at the malfunctioning cameras.]

There may be something hidden there. An escape, or a trap. We will investigate this.

So there're other robots and mold here, and--

[And...well, now whatever's on the cameras has Garrus' attention as well. His hand goes for his-...oh, right. No weapons.

[Oh, don't pay too much mind to the unnatural green light that seems to accompany the strange voice. It's not actually a flashlight.]

We doubt this closet will be safe for long.

[A little hand pops up to smack a can of green beans off the pile, before eagerly holding up a can of what appears to be tiny hotdogs. Apparently those come in cans, and she can read just enough to read 'pork' on it.

Area 1

[Almost as soon as the girl woke up she was touching things in the office, namely the toys. She even picked a few of them up before leaving. A few other things got thrown into her bag before she moved onto the stage. She peered up over the edge placing each of the toys down. Then she lifted each one in turn changing the pitch of her voice when she picked a different one up.]

"They're our friends."

"Friends? Can they be friends with Maria too? Uu?"

[When she got an answer she went skipping off into the hallways without a care in the world. She didn't even use the flashlight.]

Area 2

[The arcade machines were entertaining for a few minutes before Maria's attention wandered back to the toys she'd be carrying. After a small conversation with them she went back to exploring.

If she found the prize corner she'd try to open the box and talk to the toys in the room. So many potential new friends! This place was so nice, even if it wasn't as nice as Beato's golden land. Even if she hadn't seen Mama yet, or anyone else. But that was fine, Maria was having fun with her new friends.]

AREA 3
[And then everything was horrible.

Mostly because there's a tiny girl tearing ass all over the place, panicking because all the doors are locked, and probably slamming into everyone's shins and knocking everyone over. One wouldn't think such a tiny girl would have that much strength, but it's deeply advised not to stand in her way.

She's also throwing a tantrum the entire time because she's really, really upset about not being able to get out. Every exit is a fake, she's scared out of her mind, and she's literally climbing and bouncing off the walls.]

I WANT TO GO HOME!

[This is not her idea of fun, she honestly has no idea how she even got here]

Lapis curls up small on one of the lower stairs, arms wrapped around her knees. She doesn't need to sleep - she should really just keep going. The sooner she gets out of here, the better. But she's...not so sure she can make it alone, and while she doesn't physically require sleep, a little bit of peace after being chased by those things does sound nice.

It takes a little while of watching the door, lost in thought, before she realizes that Ken does not appear to be going to sleep. She looks at him skeptically for a moment, before deciding to ask. "What are you doing?"

Oh. O-okay.

[She darts a glance towards the door, then smashes the can against the edge of the table with one hand. Lapis isn't the most physically powerful Gem, but the can still splits enough to leak juices onto her hand. She drops it, grimacing a little, and holds her hand up to inspect it.]

Is this...good food? [She isn't sure about how it smells.]

I don't know. I've never seen food in a metal shell before.

[She sniffs at the growing puddle of liquid, and makes a face]

Ew. It smells gross. Isn't there real food here anywhere? I think all the stuff in shells is just pretend food.

I don't know. I don't, um. Eat, normally.

[But she saw some things that weren't in cans! Lapis wipes her hand on the nearest (least oil-stained) rag, then goes into the fridge and comes out with a frozen pizza shrinkwrapped in plastic.]

What about this?

[Ken knows one robot, but he tends to forget she isn't just a normal person. Especially since her resolution in December... He hopes he gets out of here to see Aigis again.]

It'd be a loud noise, though, so we'd have a little more warning... But it would be stupid to not keep watch, too. [Keeping an eye out might be the security guard's job, but they should be able to get some rest, too, if possible... Ken can't imagine what it would be like to be in that position. Stuck in one place, responsible for the lives of everyone else...]

Huh. So a bunch of people have been powered down. It wouldn't be a problem if we weren't.

It has cheese!

[And she just goes to grab it and... get angry with the shrink wrap because what is this]

What's this stuff all over it? Get it off!

It's really big too, maybe everyone else can have a piece of it?

[... Neither of them are gonna heat this thing up, are they?]

He's making sure to relax as much as possible, while still being alert. While he closes his eyes he focuses on hearing. When his eyes are open, he's looking at the door.

He jumps a little when Lapis speaks. He'd thought everyone else was asleep. Maybe she couldn't, maybe her nerves are eating at her. "Keeping watch, just in case they figure out the door."

Or have some method of telling the other machines on the floor below where they are. Or something. Planning for the worst case scenario.

"Thank goodness for that. I can't imagine having to protect kids in a creepy place like this. Childhood is hard enough without..." She gestures vaguely. "All of this."

Her casual banter with the nice robot is interupted by the sound of giggling bursting from a speaker nearby and making her jump clapping her hands over her mouth to keep from yelping.

"W-we should probably move faster."

Fumbling with the radio and grabbing the camera tablet Kitsurabami was shaking like a leaf as she found Dawn again.

"I'm here I'm here I'm sorry I just...lots going on and...um...forward...yes forward is safe. I'll make the sound go the other way."

A few quick swipes and the Balloon Boy giggle burst in a room behind Dawn drawing the attention of whatever was in the kitchen.
