test drive meme

FAZBEAR'S FRIGHT: TEST DRIVE | ||||
Welcome to Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction! Interested in the game but not sure if your character would fit in the setting? Then this meme is for you! Hell, bring in anyone you want, even if you don't plan on applying. Everybody's thought at some point what they would do in frightening situations - they just happen to involve murderous robots in this case. When making a top level with your character, make sure to include their full name and canon in the subject line, and whether they are original canon or AU or what have you. Keep the setting in mind for writing prompts, and have fun! |
Lapis Lazuli | Steven Universe | OU
[This was stupid, why did she even come in here?
Lapis didn't even know how she'd suddenly found herself on land, alone and unfused. It wasn't anyplace she'd seen with Steven before...but there was a building with animals on the front, and she'd been struck with the idea that he might be inside, so she entered without even thinking about it. And now she's trapped in here, and she can't summon her wings! Why can't she? She knows her gem isn't cracked again; she'd feel that. Why does she even do these things...
There's some humans here too, but she left them all back in the first room and went out on her own, cautiously skirting around the large robots. Does Earth even have that level of technology? They're not moving, and she can't really tell if they're working or not, but she decides not to turn her back to them, walking carefully backwards towards the door. She's got to find her way out of here.]
Kitchen, Area 2
[Well, she's been traveling with the humans for a little while now, and Lapis knows they need to eat. So since she's in the kitchen, she may as well bring something back, right?
If only she knew much of anything about human food. The Gem stands in the darkness, having piled a lot of cans and things she found in the cabinets on a table. She's picking each up in turn and inspecting them, trying to figure out what would be best. Is this really what they think is good to ingest?]
2
[A little hand pops up to smack a can of green beans off the pile, before eagerly holding up a can of what appears to be tiny hotdogs. Apparently those come in cans, and she can read just enough to read 'pork' on it.
Pork is a meat and she wants it]
This one! This one is the best, smash it open!
no subject
[She darts a glance towards the door, then smashes the can against the edge of the table with one hand. Lapis isn't the most physically powerful Gem, but the can still splits enough to leak juices onto her hand. She drops it, grimacing a little, and holds her hand up to inspect it.]
Is this...good food? [She isn't sure about how it smells.]
no subject
[She sniffs at the growing puddle of liquid, and makes a face]
Ew. It smells gross. Isn't there real food here anywhere? I think all the stuff in shells is just pretend food.
no subject
[But she saw some things that weren't in cans! Lapis wipes her hand on the nearest (least oil-stained) rag, then goes into the fridge and comes out with a frozen pizza shrinkwrapped in plastic.]
What about this?
no subject
It has cheese!
[And she just goes to grab it and... get angry with the shrink wrap because what is this]
What's this stuff all over it? Get it off!
It's really big too, maybe everyone else can have a piece of it?
[... Neither of them are gonna heat this thing up, are they?]
no subject
[Lapis darts an anxious glance over at the door. They...seem to be okay, though. A little quieter, she continues:]
Maybe it peels off. And there's more, if one won't be enough?
[Nope, there's not even gonna be a thought about heating.]
no subject
[She manages to rip the plastic layer off it, and just bites into it like it's a giant cookie. Her teeth are pretty powerful, but she still has to chew on it for a few minutes]
It's all cold and hard...
no subject
Should it not be?
no subject
[She thumps it lightly against the ground]
Its really hard to bite it. Humans have really, really weak little mouths and they won't be able to bite this at all. I bet they'll break all their teeth on it...
I wonder if it's supposed to be softer?
no subject
Oh! It's frozen! [That makes sense, right?] Is there...something to heat it up?
[Gems have always had more advanced technology than humans, but they're pretty short on machines for dealing with food in particular. She'll just go and look at some of these things. She can probably figure out what they do.]
no subject
[She drops the pizza to inspect the box, mystified when it opens into ice and cold]
It's winter in a box!
no subject
I think it's getting warmer... [Okay, she'll sit back on her heels now to watch it.]
no subject
And is eating it with her bare hands.
She wanders over to the oven to watch the coils heat up in wonder]
What's that?
no subject
[It must be for the food. Why else would it be in here?]
Put the round food in - what is that? [Aisling is eating something else? Where did she get that?]
no subject
[She holds out the ice cream box]
I don't know! It's really sweet and really cold, my fingers are really numb. It's pretty tasty though.
no subject
[Then she won't be hungry, and there'll be more round cheese stuff for the others. Speaking of, let's take the cheese and put it in the oven. She isn't sure how hot it needs to be, or for how long, so...she'll just sit here and watch it?]
I don't know if we have time for this...
no subject
[But she keeps eating it anyway, making a huge ice cream mess.]
What if we just brought back the cans? Maybe they'll like them? And um... we can come back for the cheese bread thing later?

1) they were definitely in a horror movie scenario;
2) splitting up was a really good way to die horribly.
Which was why he followed the blue woman when she left the group; he'd rather track her down now and hopefully get her to whatever counted as safety here than find her dead body later.
He found her in a room with the creepiest mechanical animals he'd ever seen (and this was supposed to be a kid's restaurant?), backing towards the door. Good instinct on her part; unfortunately, it meant there was no way to get her attention without scaring the hell out of her. Hopefully she wouldn't turn violent. He kept his voice low, at least; no reason to attract unwanted attention from...from whatever was out there, probably waiting to get them, because they were stuck in a goddamn horror movie.]
We need to get back to the group.
no subject
We? No, I have to get out of here. Now.
no subject
And what do you think the rest of us are trying to do? It'll be safer with the group. Trust me on this.
[The rabbit wasn't looking at them before, was it? Because it sure is now. That's...disconcerting, to say the least.]
no subject
[Lapis pauses in her vehemence. She's not totally certain those things didn't move. When she continues, it's in more hushed, resigned tones.]
What can any of you do about those things, anyway?
no subject
Try not to get killed, mostly. Safety in numbers.
no subject
[And she isn't really referring to being locked in the building.
Still, Lapis is staying where she is, not trying to get any farther from him. If she's so powerless here, these humans have to be much worse off. Also there is something wrong with that bird thing.]
Did that just move?
no subject
[He's had about enough of The Powers That May Or May Not Be yanking him around, sure, but that doesn't mean he's about to give up.]
[And now the bird's looking at them too, and he was damn certain that wasn't the case before. He tries not to jump out of his skin as the bird's beak suddenly drops open, revealing two sets of teeth what the fuck-]
Yeah. We should leave. Now.
