FAZBEAR'S FRIGHT: TEST DRIVE | ||||
Welcome to Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction! Interested in the game but not sure if your character would fit in the setting? Then this meme is for you! Hell, bring in anyone you want, even if you don't plan on applying. Everybody's thought at some point what they would do in frightening situations - they just happen to involve murderous robots in this case. When making a top level with your character, make sure to include their full name and canon in the subject line, and whether they are original canon or AU or what have you. Keep the setting in mind for writing prompts, and have fun! |
Legion | Mass Effect 3 | OU
It's also kind of dark here, so at least having a flashlight for a head means it can be useful, which is will be, as it turns its head on so the others in here can see. Also, why did all its weaponry disappear? And why were its shields malfunctioning? Hm... a disturbance. ]
... Entry point is an anomaly. Despite being on the ground level, it has now located itself much, much higher. Escape from this altitude is unlikely for organics. Suggestion: continue downwards. We also detect an electro-magnetic disturbance in the ability of all shields and electronic equipment. Weapons do not appear to be permitted on the premises. We advise exercising caution.
Oh hey, is this a "referring to yourself with plural pronouns" party?
[Although he won't turn down the light this machine provides. His own glow only illuminated so much, after all.]
AN ERMAC! What a pleasant surprise. c: Yes, it is.
... There is a high probability of hostile contact. Unknown electronic signatures have been detected. However, we cannot interface with them. We presume this refers to the machines housed here. This appears to indicate potential malfunction.
[ Don't mind if they just go over to the cameras and computers and sees if they can work with this outdated equipment to get a sense of what's going on around them. ]
... This room appears to be a monitoring platform for the rest of the facility. It is possible to access cameras and other operating systems.

There are too many rooms for a building this size. We suspect sorcery.
[What kind of sorcery, or for what purpose, he couldn't say.]
no subject
... Magic is improbable. It is not impossible for a building to maintain a structure that appears different inside if proper materials are used. It is, however, difficult to build this high without it being visible on the surface. If sensor readings are not malfunctioning, then we are well above the ground.
[ The Geth continues to poke around the systems, but it's proving pretty difficult, and fruitless. ]
There is likely another, unseen explanation. This machinery, however, offers no knowledge; it is merely a life support and monitoring system. It appears to also be capable of emitting audio cues on locations where cameras are stationed.
... One camera appears to be inoperable.
no subject
[He frowns at the malfunctioning cameras.]
There may be something hidden there. An escape, or a trap. We will investigate this.
no subject
[ So if you want to go investigate, Ermac, don't let them stop you. ]
no subject
[What was there to be afraid of? He was Ermac! Enforcer of the Emperor's will! Whatever threats this building harboured would be torn to pieces!
Utterly confident in his remaining abilities, Ermac floats silently out the door and into the labyrinthine halls.]
no subject
Like someone used it recently.
Odd.
Legion will just be monitoring the audio from here; since it can't see into the kitchen, but it CAN hear. ]
1/5 stars, would not recommend Fazbear's to friends
We think it is a kitchen. There seems to be food here, but it is...foul.
You know if a cluster of souls calls your food bad... it's BAD.
I swear, I've actually had the pizza. It's like cardboard. Cardboard that hates.
... I think I have too, to be honest.
The pizza is the real key to the children's revenge.

[Well, considering how his omni-tool is completely not working - really little more than a glorified glow-in-the-dark glove construct now - he'd already figured most of this out. Still, knowing that a teammate was here - even if Garrus knew the geth really shouldn't be - was a bonus.]
A sight for sore eyes, I'll admit. Is there anything else you can discern about this place?
[Like, for starters, how are you here.]
What's the last thing you remember before arriving here?
no subject
Perhaps this proved true Creator Zorah's words. Perhaps they do have a soul, and that is why they're here? Who knows. ]
Vakarian Garrus. Your presence was not anticipated. The last memory of this platform was its immediate abandonment in order to transfer our new upgrades to all Geth. We are unable to discern when or how reactivation was achieved.
[ It's going to move over to the monitors and camera, though, and see what it can do with them... ]
Readings indicate malfunctions on all life support monitoring systems. There is potential for failure of ventilation, camera, and audio systems. The air here is unsafe for organics. Ventilation would be priority. ... There is also a chance of the machinery catching fire. Further caution around electronic equipment would be advisable. Current systems are operable, merely unsteady.
no subject
[Nor was Legion the first casualty. Or the last. But it isn't the time to mourn. Or the place. Not anymore.
He quickly clears his throat and walks to the monitors. And...wow. There's primitive, there's primitive and then...there's wherever the hell they are now. No wonder everything's malfunctioning and at risk for catching aflame.
Or maybe it is hell, or at least some very messed-up afterlife, and he spontaneously died upon walking through that door from some as-yet-unknown cause. He isn't particularly religious, but it could explain what Legion's doing here.]
In any case, is there any way to identify what's in the air composition and its level of toxicity?
no subject
[ ... Hm. What's in the air, exactly...? ]
... We... I... am not entirely certain what is in the air. Speculation would be pointless; this particular toxin is not in our data banks. But it seems to be similar to Earth's "mold". If ventilation is kept within operating capacity, however, we suspect the chances of inhalation danger will be minimal.
[ Flipping through the cameras now, and... ]
... We are also not alone.
Pinging an NPC?
[And...well, now whatever's on the cameras has Garrus' attention as well. His hand goes for his-...oh, right. No weapons.
Great.]
The hell is that?!

Before long, the sound of heavy, broken static starts emanating through the halls. It cuts in and out, and it's difficult to decipher exactly what message is trying to be sent out (or where to, for that matter,) but then it's accompanied by other loud, more worrying noises. Namely, loud banging of metal against metal, and a constant whirrrring and clicking sound. It's still relatively far away, a few corridors down at most, but it's getting closer and it's moving quick.
Also, it's on the ceiling. Keep your head down. ]
no subject
[ ... Ow, Legion's sensitive equipment! That static... good thing it's got a flashlight for a face, or this would be really hard to see. ]
... This appears to be one of the malfunctioning artificial intelligences in this place. It is damaged and repaired poorly. We recommend against engagement.
[ Hm... it's hard to tell from here, but Legion is wondering if it's AT ALL possible to communicate with it? Or should they just, you know, get the fuck out of dodge? ]
no subject
Don't worry, I wasn't planning on it.
[Not without his guns. That he doesn't have. Or his omni-tool, which isn't working. Damnit.]
There's got to be a way to close this space off from it before it gets here...!
no subject
But it's determined, for a heap of grotesque scrap metal. In one moment, it almost appears it's locked onto something, and starts bolting faster down the corridor, as if in a panic - but psh, it's a robot, robots don't have feelings.
There is a brief saving grace, however - an animatronic head mounted on the wall has a lightbulb placed inside, and the flickering light suddenly causes the contraption on the ceiling to pause, and twitch it's head almost violently. It even takes a few steps back, the whirring noises cutting in and out. Might be a good idea to take note of that, and then find a good hiding spot. ]
no subject
[ For a thing called an omni-tool, it's being everything but omni right now. No cloaking, no hacking, and shields are busted...
...she has worked with less before, but it's...actually making her quite nervous. Just a little. This place has an eerie level times a thousand. She examines the monitor closely and notes that the power will only last for so long. She switches over to the camera that faces the stage. ]
Ugh...spooky.
no subject
[ Basically, it could TRY brute force, but like... what about, say, you. And maybe anyone else stuck in here, Kasumi? Also, nice to see a friendly face, please don't steal any of its functioning parts. ]
This appears to be the control console. It is outdated. We suspect someone will need to monitor it in order to keep the life support systems functional.
no subject
And to sound like a chicken but - [a cold chill just ran down her spine there djsafa] doesn't that mean one of us ends up getting left behind? [ She's not volunteering otherwise! But neither does she want Legion to also. She's getting a vibe that they're not alone here and with the comms down... ]
no subject
[ ... Legion's not... really too good with sarcasm. It has its own ways of doing it, but. ]
Someone will be required to stay on the consoles in order to keep life support functional. We volunteer; if all organics escaped, keeping the life support systems functional would no longer be necessary, facilitating an easier escape for this unit, as well.
no subject
But they gotta make do with what they have. Tech may no longer be an option, but she doesn't necessarily need to cloak to stay hidden.
She sure is missing it already though.]Alright. [ Before she disappears down the hall, she turns around to nod at the geth and flashing a cheeky smile. ] Thanks, Legion.
[ And here she goes... ]
no subject
[ Legion doesn't use superfluous sayings much, but it felt that it might be warranted here. ]
We will monitor the cameras.
[ They're definitely not feeling abandoned, so don't worry! They'll try to make sure nothing nasty comes to eat you alive, even if you are the sneakiest sneakthief to ever sneak. ]
