FAZBEAR'S FRIGHT: TEST DRIVE

Welcome to Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction! Interested in the game but not sure if your character would fit in the setting? Then this meme is for you! Hell, bring in anyone you want, even if you don't plan on applying. Everybody's thought at some point what they would do in frightening situations - they just happen to involve murderous robots in this case. When making a top level with your character, make sure to include their full name and canon in the subject line, and whether they are original canon or AU or what have you. Keep the setting in mind for writing prompts, and have fun!

Area One: Dining Room

(It was just a curious look into what seemed to be a new attraction. You can't blame a child for being drawn to something like that. Whatever it was that brought her here, it seemed ready to keep her, as Madoka quickly learned. The exit faded quickly and was nowhere to be seen, but she's a smart girl; she knew panicking wouldn't help. Besides, it's just an attraction; it wouldn't actually be dangerous, right?

That's what she told herself as she wandered through the halls and into one of the many dining areas. It looked friendly enough...well, it would if the lights were brighter. Otherwise, this room would seem more welcome, with party hats on the tables and a ready stage to entertain the masses who attended. She doubted anyone would want to sit here for long. Even so, she's looking under the tables for anything that could come in handy...did something just move?)

Area One: Pirate Cove

(Madoka isn't sure why or how she found herself before these drawn curtains and the very direct "Out of Order" sign, but here she is, curiously looking in without much of a view to work with. Part of her wants to open the curtains and have a gander while part of her wants to leave it as is. If she really is this torn about it, then it may actually be best to not interact with what's there.

Instead she's here, debating something as simple as drawn curtains. In all fairness, many parts of this place looked like it was out of order. Why is this the only one with an appropriate sign...?)

[...well, this is a tiny bit of a surprise; most of the people Dawn's seen have been older than her.

Hope you don't mind if she walks over to her--don't worry, Madoka, she's got her flashlight on so you can see her!]

[It's an honest inquiry rather than any sort of chiding, really. Maybe there are some supplies back there?]

(She's only slightly startled, but seeing another person helps her not freak out too much. The light gets in her eyes a little, but otherwise, the young girl nods towards Dawn.)

I'm taking a look at this exhibit. I'm trying to decide if I should take a closer look or not.

[Dawn nods her head, looking at the exhibit itself. Hmm. It seems innocent enough, but that's what she said when she first saw one of the toys.

...Dawn's gonna look back over.] May I come with you? Just in case. [Two explorers are better than one, right? Especially when one has a flashlight tied to her scarf.]

It's the last person Gretchen had expected to come across. Of course, because Madoka had died for her to be born. But here they are, in a dilapidated place. Gretchen herself had been drawn in by the endless despair here, but had found that her power had faded the second she entered. Now there's nothing--she may as well be a normal girl.

Area One

[Well, there is the very giant. bulky, inhuman shadow quietly walking through the darkness of the dining room. It looks pretty scary, and its whispers echo through the air towards Madoka's ears, as if to threaten her. To take her. Tdestroy her.





Also it just smacked its kneecap into a chair and is swearing under its breath. Because ow, damnit. Ow. Why did that even hurt? He's still wearing armor! Even if its not wholly effective against the animatronics, the chair is not that powerful!

...or is it? Oh, the hell if he even knows what anything in this place is capable of right now, he's just going to start going in this direction.]

Prize Corner

[ Stating the obvious once she flops into the prize corner, the troll sighs. She'd been lead to believe there might be oodles of awesome treasure here, but this human place is just a dump filled with gross human food and angry robots that'd make Equius sweaty or some crap. ]

... This is soooooooo not what I thought it was gonna be. I mean, who the heck wants some dumb plushies?! Hating this! I didn't go through ALLLLLLL of that hoofbeast crap just for nothing... sheesh.

... Not that it was a CHALLENGE or anything.

[ It looks like someone else is here now, fondly gazing at the plushes. Madoka used to like them, right? ]

[ She picks one of them up and then sort of just... tosses it upwards, then back down. She needs something worthwhile, and THIS is NOT worthwhile. Like, it robbed her of all her powers (her wings? Now pretty, stupid sparkle-making uselessness), including ALL the God Tiers, ALL OF THEM, and just. Ugh. So not worth what she'd expected to find here.

... Actually... what DID she expect to find? She isn't sure now. She just remembers seeing this place, expecting a huge treasure hoard, and then not finding it. What the heck. ]

Yeah, well, they're not the only ones who find this stuff amusing or whatever, but it's kiddie stuff! Booooooooring. Where's the piles of riches? The super ultimate weapon? The big button to control giant killer purple hop beasts?

You won't find it here. This is a place for children's amusement. How sad, though, that a place normally meant to inspire hope has become a disgusting pit of despair.

[ The witch will sigh. Normally, she'd absorb this place into her barrier. But she can't. It's impossible. Her powers are useless. She can't... Do a thing... ]

Bluh! Don't give me that hope crap; that kind of stuff happens ALL the time. All of the times! So a few grubs die, so what? What I want to know is how the heck these gross, sweaty robots are doing what they're doing. They've GOTTA be guarding something huge... and I'm... going to find it first!

[ She will get all of the treasure, dammit, and she will utilize it later to fight more stuff that's actually important, unlike the crap here. ]

...You're speaking to one who will bathe the world in hope. Please, mind your tongue. ♥

[ Gretchen will smile and turn to Vriska, but otherwise remain pleasant. Perhaps too much so. ]

As for the robots, they may simply be witch's familiars.

Oh, yeah? Well, screw your hope. I don't give a crap. Your puny planet's doomed, anyway. And no one who had Hope as their symbol ever contributed anything important. I mean, most humans wiped out, blah blah blah, wrap it up, killed by meteors, you know, all that crap. What REALLY matters is the actual heroes like ME who get things done.

[ She's going to stand, now. Time for rest is over--after all, something might come up on her back, and even though her Sylladex isn't working and her God Tier powers aren't active, she's still a troll. She can still fight, sense. See things with her vision eightfold. ]

And if there's nothing useful here, then the best thing to do would be to just roll a good nuke on the place. And since I'm soooooooo lucky, I'm sure I can manage it. Even do your crummy planet a favor!

[ If she had her magic, Gretchen would kill Vriska where she stands. But she's a normal girl now. Practically human. Instead, she'll keep that pleasant smile. ]

Greed like yours is destructive. It will destroy you eventually.

[ A fitting end, she feels. ]

I've heard that one before. I'm just doing what most people won't. So what? Big deal.

[ Likewise, Vriska would've attempted to nuke her without a second thought but HEY here they are. Having to cooperate. She can play nice if she HAS to; she's gotten THIS far...

You either die a hero, or you die a villain. She's fine with being both, if she has to. She'll take the glory, and make sure things turn out the way SHE wants them to. ]

On the contrary. You're just as greedy as most humans. Sure, they won't say as much, but that greed festers within them all the same.

[ She doesn't think much of humanity. Still, perhaps they should move on for now. This place offers nothing of importance. ]

*Oh, now that voice was familiar. Sollux wasn't so sure about Vriska at the best of times, but this was far from that. Something about him not knowing anyone else here made him stop just outside of the prize corner to talk to her.*

You can't really have expected a prize at the end of this thing. I'm pretty fucking sure the only prize is lack of death.

... Look, it's just, usually when we did stuff like this, there was a profit at the end. Plunder! Huge gobs of treasure and boonbucks a billion! Or awesome weapons! I mean, if it was YOU who made a bunch of creepy Earthbeast Robots, wouldn't you put them to work guarding stuff? If you made creepy robots, I mean.

Usually when we do stuff like this we can go back the same way we came if we don't like the quest.

But I'm pretty sure this place wasn't made my trolls, chessmen or denizens so I don't think our logic works here.

But anyway, if the actual prizes aren't here, then we just keep looking. I'm not leaving this stupid, smelly place we've been trapped in until I have something to show for it! I mean, surviving is obvious, but come oooooooon!
